RICHMOND, Va., March 31 (UPI) — Two Virginia State Police troopers and a woman were shot Thursday afternoon at a Greyhound bus station in Richmond, authorities said.
It wasn’t immediately clear what circumstances led to the gunfire, but officials said the accused shooter has been captured, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported.
Four ambulances responded to the scene and transported the wounded to a nearby hospital at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Officers from the Richmond Police Department and Virginia State Police responded to the incident and are investigating the matter.
WTVR-TV in Richmond reported that police were staging an emergency drill inside the bus station when the shooting occurred.
