Winning $540 Million Lottery Ticket Sold In Indiana

CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind., July 9 (UPI) — Someone in Indiana is the lucky winner of the $540 million Mega Million jackpot, according to the California Lottery.

“Congrats to the one #MegaMillions jackpot winner in Indiana,” California Lottery officials tweeted.

The winning ticket was reportedly sold at a Speedway gas station in Cambridge City.

This marks the seventh largest prize in lottery history , and the third top-10 this year behind a $429 million Powerball in May, and January’s record-shattering $1.58 billion Powerball prize.

The winning ticket holder has yet to come forward and claim the prize, which boasts a lump sum payout of $380 million.

The lucky numbers were 20, 19, 55, 73 and 8, with a megaball of 5.
