COLUMBUS, OHIO – October 31, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Ohio State University quarterback J.T. Barrett has been arrested on a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated.
Police say Barrett was arrested Saturday night after being stopped at a DUI check point near the Ohio State campus.
Barrett, 20, was suspended for one game by OSU coach Urban Meyer.
Just one week ago Meyer named Barrett the starting quarterback job for the number one-rated Buckeyes over Cardale Jones.
OSU released a statement confirming Barrett’s arrest and subsequent suspension. He’ll be forced to sit out next week’s November 7 game against Minnesota.
