FERGUSON, Mo., March 15 (UPI) — St. Louis Police said an arrest has been made in the shooting of two police officers in Ferguson, Mo. on Thursday.

“An arrest has been made in connection with the shooting of two police officers in #Ferguson. Thank you for your help. #saferstl,” the St.Louis police said in a tweet.

Police did not release details immediately about the arrest. A press conference is planned for Sunday afternoon.

The officers were shot as protests were breaking up early Thursday following the resignation of the police chief. Both were treated and released from a local hospital.
