AUGUSTA, Ga., April 12 (UPI) — Jordan Spieth emerged victorious in the 79th Masters on Sunday as Justin Rose and Phil Mickelson kept close behind.

Spieth finished the fourth round with -2 from 70 strokes, with -18 overall, while Mickelson came in second with -3 in a 69-stroke round, with -14 overall. Rose ended the 18th hole at -2 from 69 strokes, with -14 overall.

Spieth, 21, had dominated the previous three days of the tournament at Augusta National Golf Club, going into the fourth and final day with a four-point lead after setting a Masters record with a 54-hole score of 200 — one stroke lower than the previous record held by Tiger Woods in 1997 and Raymond Floyd in 1976.

Despite being quoted by the Los Angeles Times on Saturday as saying he would “have to put together a really special round of golf” on Sunday, Woods ended the 18th hole with -5, finishing in 18th overall. He reportedly suffered a wrist injury after his club struck a root in mid-swing on the 9th hole.

Bubba Watson, winner of the Masters in 2012 and 2014, ended day four with +2 from 74 strokes, making his overall score +1 from a total of 289 strokes.
