TOPEKA, Kan., April 24 (UPI) — Four federal law enforcement agents, including two U.S. marshals and an FBI agent, were shot while trying to make an arrest in a Kansas motel.

The agents, part of the U.S. Marshal Service Task Force, were trying to locate a suspect at the Country Club Motel in Topeka about 10 p.m. Saturday. The agents exchanged gunfire with the suspect. At one point a fire broke out at the motel, destroying large parts of the building.

A fourth federal agent was also wounded in the incident. The injuries are not life threatening. It is not clear if the suspect was arrested.
