Utah woman talks about the prospect of seeing after 40 years of darkness

WEST JORDAN, Utah, Aug. 4, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — West Jordan resident Sandy England lost her eyesight more than 30 years ago — a victim of the genetic disorder retinitis pigmentosa.

But now, thanks to a breakthrough technology called the bionic eye, Sandy’s vision has been restored.

Sandy first learned she was a candidate for the experimental procedure back in November 2015.

She sat down with Gephardt Daily back then and talked the life changing implications of seeing again after nearly four decades.
