WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, March 24, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A driver who ran a red light was taken to a hospital with minor injuries after two vehicles crashed into his vehicles Tuesday night at 5400 South and Mountain View Corridor.
Sgt. Kilpack with West Valley City Police told Gephardt Daily the driver was traveling eastbound on 5400 South and entered the intersection against a red light. Two vehicles traveling northbound on Mountain View Corridor with a green light then T-boned the car.
The driver who ran the red light was able to get into the ambulance and was transported as a precaution, Kilpack said.
No vehicles rolled, despite early reports suggesting the crash was more serious, he said.
The crash closed all northbound lanes of Mountain View Corridor at 5400 South and westbound 5400 South through the intersection while tow trucks cleared the scene.
Gephardt Daily will provide an update as more information becomes available.
