Dec. 21 (UPI) — Starting something new on Thursday is “ill advised” and will have long-term consequences, according to astrologers.
The winter solstice on Thursday — the shortest day of the year — has astrologers concerned, and they say this day may be the worst, because of Saturn.
According to London astrologer Neil Spencer, the sun will appear to pass in front of the constellation Capricorn just hours after Saturn does, causing both orbs to line up for the first time since 1664.
Spencer said anything people try to do on Thursday will be unusually difficult, take more time and be more frustrating.
“Saturn in Capricorn is a very useful placement, denoting one tough individual, but on a macro level, it doesn’t promise much in the way of fruitful change,” Spencer wrote on his blog.
Massachusetts astronomer Stephen Schneider explained to CBS News the astronomical cause of solstice, which occurs at the moment the Earth’s tilt away from the sun is at a maximum.
On Thursday, the Northern Hemisphere has the shortest day and longest night of the year, opposite of what the Southern Hemisphere experiences.
According to Lunar Living astrology website, during Winter solstice 2017 “patience will not be a priority, especially if we are told that we ‘have to’ by our superiors. We may be perceived as subordinate. Be ready to deal with the repercussions of rebellion.”
