Trick Shot Team Sets New World Record from 415-Foot Dam

TASMANIA, Australia, June 16 (UPI) — Trick shot team How Ridiculous beat their own world record Sunday night when they shot a basketball from the top of Tasmania’s Gordon Dam directly into a hoop.

The team of four from Perth, Australia, set up a basketball hoop at the bottom of the 415-foot dam and let the ball drop from an angle, causing it to make an effortless swish into the net. The team has been creating intricate trick shots for their YouTube channel since 2009.

The team has performed successful trick shots in other Australian landmarks like Patersons Stadium, The Swan Bell Tower, The Narrows Bridge and the WACA Light Towers, name a few. The team held the previous Guinness World Record for the greatest height from which a basketball is shot since 2013, when they made a winning shot off the Euromast in the Netherlands.

How Ridiculous is partners with Compassion, a non-profit that helps children in need, and help raise awareness for the cause through their popular YouTube channel and social media presence.
