OREM, Utah, Jan. 25, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A missing mentally disabled man from Orem has been found in an Ogden homeless shelter, police said Wednesday.

Orem Police said in a Facebook post that 31-year-old Zachary Sorenson was found in Ogden after going missing Sunday.

“He is going to be fine,” the post said. “Thanks to the person who saw him walking around and called police.” Officials added that Sorenson grew up in Ogden, and used his bus pass to return.

Sorenson went missing from social services organization Northeastern Services, at 443 Commerce Road in Orem.

In a news release, police said Sorenson has the mental capacity of a 7-year-old, and has walked away before but had been missing longer than usual this time. He had been found at Barnes and Noble and the University Mall previously, but both of those places were checked and he was not there.
