SALT LAKE CITY/WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, May 26, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A pair of power poles took the brunt of two separate collisions, one in Salt Lake City and the other in West Valley City on Friday afternoon.

The first incident occurred when a semi-truck took out a power pole on 5400 West and state Route 201 South Frontage Road at approximately 1 p.m.

Soon after, the driver of a white car nearby, at 5300 West and SR-201 North Frontage Road, crashed into another power pole.

The driver of the semi was not injured; the driver of the white car had minor injuries.

A handful of businesses in the area were without power after the incidents.
