Bristol Palin to Critics: “My Pregnancy was Actually Planned”
WASILLA, Alaska, June 28 (UPI) — Bristol Palin, daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, has hit back and critics who “mocked” and “judged” her after she announced her second pregnancy.
“I made a mistake, but it’s not the mistake all these giddy a$$holes have loved to assume,” Palin wrote Sunday in a blog post. “This pregnancy was actually planned.”
The 24-year-old, who has a 6-year-old son, Tripp, with her ex-fiance Levi Johnston,announced last Thursday that she was pregnant with her second child.
She wrote at the time that the news was a “huge disappointment” to her family and friends.
In her latest post, Palin said that she does not “regret this baby.”
“This baby is not a disappointment, and I cannot wait to be a mom times two. Tripp is going to make the best big brother!!” she added.
“When I realized I was pregnant, I knew I would be completely crucified. But I never even thought of aborting this child, NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCE,” she continued.
Palin ended her engagement to U.S. Marine Dakota Meyer last month, less than a week before their wedding.
“This is not the ideal situation, but life is important even if it’s not in the most absolute ideal circumstance. This is more confirmation on what I’ve always stood for. I’ve always been pro-life and I am standing for life now,” Palin said.
