Man Is Robbed As He Exits TRAX Train

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – May 15, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Salt Lake City Police are asking for the public’s help in finding two assailants who robbed a downtown TRAX rider late Thursday night.

According to a SLCPD press release, a 22-year-old man exited a TRAX train at 600 W. North Temple at 11:40 p.m. Thursday and was confronted by two other men demanding his wallet. One of the men reportedly had a weapon.

Police say he victim turned over his wallet, but took off running when the robbers demanded his cell phone.

The suspects are described as white men in their mid-twenties.

The first robber is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, with a thin build, blonde hair and wearing a blue Utah Jazz shirt.

Suspect two is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, with a heavy build, brown hair and wearing a red long-sleeved shirt.

Anyone with knowledge of the case is asked to call Salt Lake City Police Department at 801. 799.3000. Police say to remain anonymous, “text your crime tips to 274637.
