Fight at Prison Sends Inmate to the Hospital
The victim was in a section of the Uinta Facility within the prison when he was attacked in the common area of Uinta 3 around 4:30 p.m.
The inmate was kicked numerous times in the head and was initially taken to the Wasatch Infirmary in stable condition but was then transported by ambulance to the hospital.
Names of the inmates involved will not be released.
The section where the assault occurred has been temporarily lock down to facilitate an internal investigation.
