Layton Police said 13-year-old McKenzey Madill and 15-year-old Alice Mpawenimana were last seen at New Beginnings foster home on July 1 and were reported missing the following day.
Police confirmed McKenzey was located Monday at Pioneer Park in Salt Lake City with a homeless woman later identified as her mother. Alice was found in West Valley City a short time later.
Both girls were returned to state custody.
According to the Division of Child and Family Services, McKenzey has done this before. Last November, she crawled out of a window of a non-secure facility with another girl but they were found within a couple of days.
