Texas Man Locked In Store Live Tweets ‘Fedex Prisoner’ Ordeal

Top TweetSAN ANTONIO, July 13 (UPI) — A San Antonio man trapped for two hours in a FedEx store spent his time tweeting and recording videos.

Chris Galvan said he stopped in the FedEx store just before 9 p.m. Saturday to have some printing done and when he was ready to print he discovered the store had emptied and he was locked inside.

“Nobody was there, so I kept yelling hello,” Galvan told WFSB-TV. “And I realized the doors were locked and nobody was there.”

Bottom TweetGalvan, who said he was exhausted from completing a CrossFit competition earlier in the day, called a 24-hour FedEx location to send help and set about trying to amuse himself.

“I knew I had to pass the time and I was delirious so I started taking videos, jumping jacks and sleeping and walking around doing funny stuff,” Galvan told KENS-TV.

Galvan, who branded himself the “#FedExPrisoner” on Twitter, said he was in good spirits when a manager arrived to free him two hours after the start of his ordeal, but the manager was less than amused.

“She just said ‘get out’ and I said ‘ok, thank you very much,'” Galvan said.

Galvan went to a 24-hour FedEx to get his printing done and snapped a picture with the employee he had spoken to on the phone.

Galvan joked on Twitter about how his experience had changed him.

“So much has changed since being set free. I don’t just see black and white anymore, I see color. And it’s way more expensive. #FedExPrisoner” he tweeted.
