LOS ANGELES, Oct. 14 (UPI) — Emma Stone still has feelings for ex-boyfriend Andrew Garfield.
The 27-year-old actress said in the November issue of Vogue that her life has had ups and downs since splitting from the 33-year-old actor in 2015.
“[He’s] someone I still love very much,” Stone admitted before joking, “I’m really glad you’re sitting down so I can tell you.”
“It’s been interesting,” she added of being single. “It’s been a good year. And sad. Pros and cons.”
Stone and Garfield, who co-starred in “The Amazing Spider-Man” and its sequel, broke up last year after four years of dating. Sources told People at the time that the pair would remain friends.
“There was no drama, they’ve been apart while working. They still care about each other,” an insider said. “They still have love for one another. They are on good terms with each other and remain close.”
“The Amazing Spider-Man” stars had sparked rumors of a reconciliation in August after they were spotted together in London. People later reported, however, that the pair were “definitely not dating.”
Stone will star in a number of upcoming films, including “La La Land” with Ryan Gosling. The musical drama is directed by Whiplash helmer Damien Chazelle and opens in theaters Dec. 9.
“I cried, like, halfway through at the [movie’s] screening [at the Venice Film Festival],” Stone confessed in the Vogue interview. “I’d already seen the movie with some people who worked on it, and we were excited, but you never know until it gets out there.”
