SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah, April 22, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries while taking part in an annual fundraiser on Saturday.
David Mott, 62, of Lehi, was riding in Ride to Light Up Eureka when a crash took his life. The incident occurred just before noon on Redwood Road, near mile marker 26.
A group of motorcyclists was attempting to pass an SUV that was pulling a trailer. The SUV had slowed down due to a vehicle in front of it, which had slowed to turn left into a driveway.
When Mott tried to pass the SUV and trailer on the left, he crashed into the left-turning vehicle, according to information from the Saratoga Springs Police Department. Mott was pronounced dead at the scene.
