SANTA BARBARA, California, June 6, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Harry and Meghan have announced the birth of daughter Lilibet Diana.
The names pay tribute to Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, whose childhood nickname was Lilibet, and to his late mother, Princess Diana.
The baby, born Friday in Santa Barbara, will be called Lili, according to released information. Mother and child are healthy, and are back home in Montecito, Calif., where the couple moved last year, the statement says.
Lili is the first of the Queen’s great-grandchildren to be born outside the United Kingdom.
