UTAH, Oct. 12, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — A hard freeze warning is in place for parts of Utah for Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
“Cold overnight lows are likely this evening and into Wednesday morning,” said a tweet from the National Weather Service Salt Lake City. “A hard freeze warning has been issued. Protect those sensitive plants and wrap those exposed pipes. Stay warm!”
The warning is in place for areas including Salt Lake City, Ogden, Brigham City, Logan, Tooele, Duchesne, Provo, Nephi, Delta, Richfield, Milford, Cedar City, Capitol Reef National Park, Green River and Hanksville.
A follow-up tweet said: “We are seeing the potential for lake effect/lake enhanced snow late tonight through early Wednesday morning. The most likely location for a band is in the Salt Lake Valley, but confidence in the position of the band is low.”
That means that at this stage, forecasters are not sure which locations will be most impacted and exactly how much snow will fall.
Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
