ROCKVILLE, Utah, June 7, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Evacuations are underway due to a wildfire that ignited Friday afternoon near Rockville in Washington County.
The Rockville Fire is estimated at 10 acres and is threatening structures, state wildfire officials said on social media. Crews are on scene with ground and air resources.
State Route 9 is closed in both directions due to the fire.
“For the safety of the public and firefighters, please avoid the area,” the post says.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
