LOS ANGELES, Aug. 12 (UPI) — Kristen Stewart doesn’t need her sexual preference to be labeled, she said in a recent interview.
The “American Ultra” actress told Nylon for its September issue that she’s not hiding, but she doesn’t need to come out either.
“Google me, I’m not hiding,” she said when asked if she will make any announcements regarding her sexuality. “If you feel like you really want to define yourself, and you have the ability to articulate those parameters and that in itself defines you, then do it. But I am an actress, man. I live in the [expletive] ambiguity of this life and I love it.”
“I don’t feel like it would be true for me to be like, ‘I’m coming out!’ No, I do a job,” 25-year-old Stewart continued. “Until I decide that I’m starting a foundation or that I have some perspective or opinion that other people should be receiving…I don’t. I’m just a kid making movies.”
The starlet, who started working on the “Twilight” series at 16, predicts that people will eventually care less about others being gay or straight. “It’s like, just do your thing,” she said.
Stewart’s latest film, “American Ultra”, also stars friend Jesse Eisenberg. Her upcoming projects include Woody Allen‘s next film — still under wraps — alongside Eisenberg, Bruce Willis and Blake Lively.
