GARLAND, Texas, April 16 (UPI) — Lady Antebellum’s tour bus went up in flames Thursday morning.

The band was en route to Dallas for the American Country Music Awards when the vehicle blew a tire and caught fire. Lead singer Hillary Scott announced the news and shared a photo of the damage on Instagram.

“Hey guys, we had a crazy morning on the way to Dallas today,” she wrote. “Our bus tire caught on fire and we had to evacuate very quickly. EVERYONE IS SAFE AND SOUND. It was me, my husband, our tour manager, and driver. Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe.”

Lady Antebellum’s bus went up in flames on Interstate 30 in Garland, Texas, officials told NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth. Authorities expect crews to clear the wreckage by 2 p.m. CT, with only one or two lanes of westbound traffic available until then.
