NEW YORK, Aug. 29 (UPI) — Evan Rachel Wood is seen questioning her creator Anthony Hopkins in the latest trailer for HBO’s upcoming sci-fi drama, “Westworld.”

The clip, released Sunday, features Wood (Dolores) as an android who is finally learning the true purpose of her existence as a conflict between robots and humans begins brewing at a futuristic, Wild West theme park.

“Our creatures have been misbehaving,” muses creator Dr. Robert Ford, played by Hopkins. “You and everyone you know were built to gratify the desires of people who pay to visit your world,” warns the park’s lead programmer played by Jeffrey Wright as he reveals the truth to Wood.

Also showcased is the show’s setting, complete with horses, pistols, and a bustling town center.

As the trailer ends, Woods is able to confront Hopkins who appears less than kind to his creation after he is asked if they are friends. “No, I wouldn’t say friends, Dolores. I wouldn’t say that at all,” he responds.

Based on the 1973 film of the same name, the long-delayed “Westworld,” developed by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy with J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk as executive producers, also stars Ed Harris, James Marsden, Thandie Newton and Jeffrey Wright.

“Westworld” is set to premiere Oct. 2 on HBO.
