MIDVALE, Utah, Aug. 24, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A single-vehicle rollover in Midvale on Friday ejected a 4-year-old girl from the car her mother was driving.

Her mother was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, Sgt. Nick Street, Utah Highway Patrol spokesman, told Gephardt Daily.

The car, a Jeep-type vehicle, was westbound on Interstate 215 at about 900 East, in Midvale, near the Murray boarder. The accident was reported just before 8:30 a.m.

“For an unknown reason, it left the roadway to the right and overturned,” a Utah Highway Patrol report says.

A four-year old occupant was ejected and is being transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.”

Street told Gephardt Daily just after noon that the girl had been treated for her injuries and released.
