SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Dec. 24, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — A child who was struck by a vehicle in the passenger pick-up zone outside the Salt Lake City International Airport Wednesday night has been released from hospital.

According to airport spokeswoman Bianca Shreeve, the incident happened at about 6 p.m. when three people visiting from out of town were struck by a vehicle traveling through the Terminal One pick-up zone.

“The woman was transported to Intermountain Medical Center with serious injuries, and the child was taken to Primary Children’s Hospital,” Shreeve said. “The third person hit received minor injuries and was not transported.”

Shreeve said the family was in the crosswalk when the incident occurred, and the driver of the vehicle involved stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
