MAGNA, Utah, June 22, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Two people were killed and another critically injured in a Saturday night crash on SR-201.
According to Trooper Martinez with the Utah Highway Patrol, the deadly collision occurred around 10:26 p.m. when witnesses said an eastbound BMW failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of SR-201 and 7200 West, broadsiding a Mustang as it attempted to make a left-hand turn onto westbound SR-201.
Two people inside the Mustang died at the scene.
The driver of the BMW suffered a broken leg and was transported to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray in critical condition.
Crash investigators were expected to be on scene for several hours.
