Brigham City police seek armed suspect in theft of firearms; ‘Do not approach’

BRIGHAM CITY, Utah, May 21, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The Brigham City Police Department has issued an urgent alert in hopes of locating a suspect in the theft of a large number of guns.

The suspect is believed to be a man named Matthew Meyers, the BCPD statement says.

“Brigham City Police Department is attempting to locate a suspect involved in a burglary. This man is suspected to be involved in the theft of a large number of firearms. It is believed he is carrying some of the firearms with him regularly.

“USE CAUTION. Do not approach or contact him. The man is suspected to be Matthew Meyers.”

Meyers is known to frequent the Ogden and Riverdale areas, the statement says. A warrant for his arrest is pending.
