TAYLORSVILLE, UTAH – May 12, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Kuishon Felder, 18, stabbed his 36-year-old brother in an argument over money, Unified Police said Tuesday. The argument occurred near 2836 W. 5400 South in Taylorsville.

Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said when officers arrived they found the 36-year-old had been stabbed while Felder had fled on foot. Officers conducted a short search and located the suspect on 2700 West a short distance from the home, where he was taken into custody without incident.

The victim was transported by Unified Fire to Intermountain Medical Center, where his condition was upgraded from critical to serious condition. Hoyal said that the victim was due to be released Monday night.

“It appears there was an argument over money, that argument started inside the house and subsequently went outside into the yard, where the stabbing occurred,” said Hoyal.
