WEST JORDAN, Utah, Oct. 13, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in which a car rolled over and slammed into a tree in West Jordan City Cemetery early Saturday morning.

The accident happened shortly before 1:30 a.m. when the adult male driver lost control of the vehicle and it careened into the cemetery, at 1300 W. 7800 South.

A witness at a nearby gas station called 911 to report the crash.

“The driver lost control and the vehicle rolled over into a tree,” West Jordan Police Sgt. Kangas told Gephardt Daily.┬áHe said the driver, the car’s only occupant, was out of the vehicle and walking around when officers arrived.

“He was taken to IMC (Intermountain Medical Center) with non-life-threatening injuries.”

Kangas did not know the man’s age and said the accident is under investigation. It had not yet been determined whether impairment or a medical episode may have been factors in the crash.
