WEST JORDAN, Utah, Oct. 13, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in which a car rolled over and slammed into a tree in West Jordan City Cemetery early Saturday morning.

The accident happened shortly before 1:30 a.m. when the adult male driver lost control of the vehicle and it careened into the cemetery, at 1300 W. 7800 South.

A witness at a nearby gas station called 911 to report the crash.

“The driver lost control and the vehicle rolled over into a tree,” West Jordan Police Sgt. Kangas told Gephardt Daily. He said the driver, the car’s only occupant, was out of the vehicle and walking around when officers arrived.

“He was taken to IMC (Intermountain Medical Center) with non-life-threatening injuries.”

Kangas did not know the man’s age and said the accident is under investigation. It had not yet been determined whether impairment or a medical episode may have been factors in the crash.
