CLINTON, Utah, June 13, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A report of a man with a gun at the Walmart in Clinton led to the evacuation of employees and shoppers Wednesday afternoon.

“Clinton Walmart has been evacuated for an active police situation,” said a tweet from Clinton Fire Department.

Police were called to the scene, at 1632 N. 2000 West, at about 2:30 p.m., after a report of a man with a gun in the store’s parking lot. The public was advised to avoid the area of the store.

After a thorough search, officials were unable to find the man described. As of 3:15 p.m., employees were being let back into the store.
