SOUTH JORDAN, Utah, Dec. 2, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Construction crews discovered a body in a South Jordan field Monday morning, officials said.
South Jordan Police Lt. Matt Pennington told Gephardt Daily the construction site where the body was found is in the area of 11100 South and 6200 West.
Crews coming back to work after the Thanksgiving holiday found the body at approximately 8 a.m. and called authorities, Pennington said.
The body has been transported to the Utah Office of the Medical Examiner, and an investigation is underway. Pennington said at this time a cause of death is not clear.
Officials have not said if the deceased person is male or female or how long their body had been in the field.
