SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – July 14, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A construction worker had to be rescued by firefighters after falling in a hole.

According to Jasen Asay, spokesperson for the Salt Lake City Fire Department, the worker was already in a confined space and then fell about five feet at a construction site at 1980 N. 2200 West, knocking him unconscious for a brief moment from the way he landed. “He was in a confined space about 20 feet down from the surface when he was climbing out and fell back down,” said Asay.

Firefighters were able to help the man, who is in his late 30’s, from the hole and transport him by ground ambulance to the local hospital. “He has some injury to his back, some other minor injuries but otherwise he is going to be OK,” said Asay.
