SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, May 21, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A semi rollover has forced the closure of eastbound Interstate 80 near the junction with Interstate 15 in Salt Lake City Tuesday afternoon.
“A semi hauling potatoes has overturned going from eastbound I-80 to southbound I-15,” said a tweet from the Utah Highway Patrol. “Minor engine oil spill being attended to.”
The tweet at 3 p.m. said no one was injured as a result of the rollover but “cleanup of the entire scene is going to take some time.”
Drivers are being asked to use SR-201 or surface streets to avoid the area.
