MORGAN COUNTY, Utah, Jan. 7, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Morgan County Sheriff investigators assisted in an Indiana child molestation case which was resolved this week with a plea deal and sentencing.
“Morgan County Sheriff Investigators were contacted in November 2024 by Investigators with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, in Indiana, regarding assistance with a case that occurred in their jurisdiction,” says a statement issued Wednesday by the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.
“Morgan County Investigators traveled to the home of Melvin Roy Price, 66, in Morgan County, and conducted an interview.”
Price was arrested and charged with three counts of child molestation in September 2025, the MCSO statement says.
“This week, Investigator Brandi Suh was prepared to travel to Goshen, Indiana to testify during the trial. However, we were informed that Price had accepted a plea deal and will serve 35 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections for a level 1 child molestation charge.”
