SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 5, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Gov. Gary R. Herbert has appointed Lincoln S. Fillmore to the Utah State Senate.

Fillmore will serve in District 10 replacing Sen. Aaron Osmond after his resignation Dec. 1, 2015.

“Lincoln’s experience and knowledge as a businessman, teacher and administrator will be a valuable asset to the Senate,” Herbert said in a prepared statement.

“I am confident he will continue to be a strong advocate for education and serve the people of South Jordan, West Jordan and Herriman effectively.”

“Citizens of District 10 are some of the best in the state, and I am honored to serve them,” Fillmore said. “ I feel a great responsibility to represent them honorably, and am eager to do the work that will make their government work well for them.”

Fillmore is the president of Charter Solutions, a charter school management company.
