KAYSVILLE, Utah, March 23, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in Kaysville are looking for the young man who attempted to break into one business and stole a vehicle from another early Saturday morning.

At about 6:30 a.m., the suspect, driving what looks like a newer, black Audi Q5, used a pipe wrench to try to break into Biker’s Edge, according to a Kaysville Police Department post on Facebook. He did not succeed in breaching the door.

About a half-hour later, the suspect turned up at Big O Tires, where he “breaks a window in a garage door, then climbs through the jagged hole into a bay where he immediately commandeers a Toyota Sequoia, backing through said garage door to make his escape,” the post says.

The suspect, who police point out is now a wanted felon, then drove east on 320 North and parked just north of Johnny’s Carwash, “right behind his black Audi (likely) Q5.”

The suspect then abandoned the Sequoia, which had been damaged, and drove off in the Audi.

He was wearing a charcoal-colored jacket with a lighter color horizontal stripe across the body. He also was wearing what appears to be a paintball mask, tan skinny pants, Nike shoes that appear to be black with white contrasts, and gloves.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect from the surveillance videos or who has any information about these incidents is asked to call Kaysville Police at 801-546-1131 or Dispatch at 801-451-4150.
