MAGNA, Utah, Jan. 30, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A 60-year-old man was critically injured after he was hit by a vehicle in Magna on Wednesday evening.

Just after 7:30 p.m., the man was crossing Main Street in Magna, in or near a crosswalk, when he was struck, Lt. Bill Robertson told Gephardt Daily.

“The vehicle was traveling eastbound, we think at posted speeds,” Robertson said. The victim “was transported to the IMC in critical condition with head trauma. Because of the serous nature of the injuries, officers are on the scene now,” Robertson said at 10:55 p.m.

The male driver stayed at the scene, and showed no signs of impairment, Robertson said.

Gephardt Daily will have more information on the case as it becomes available.
