OGDEN, Utah, Sept. 21, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Ogden police were dispatched on a “shots fired” call Friday night and arrived to find a man with a gunshot wound.
The incident happened a little before 9:30 p.m. on the 400 block of Countryside Way, just east of Washington Boulevard. Officers found evidence of the shooting at the scene.
Ogden Police Lt. Tyler Ziegler said the wounded man was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
“The victim started out being somewhat cooperative with the officers,” Ziegler told Gephardt Daily, “but then he became less willing to talk.”
At some point, the victim decided to leave the hospital on his own.
Ziegler said the shooting is not gang-related. The suspect is known to the victim, so the police know who they’re looking for.
