SANPETE COUNTY, Utah, May 16, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A 54-year-old woman who went missing in Sanpete County has been located.

Officials received a report of an overdue person, Jodi Willis, on Monday, according to a news release from Sanpete County Sheriff’s Office.

Willis left Utah County Saturday and told family members she was going to her cabin in Sanpete County. Willis was supposed to return to a party on Sunday by 2 p.m but did not show up. On Monday, family members went to look for Willis and found her vehicle parked in the lower Gooseberry Estates parking lot.

Family members then called the Sheriff’s Office requesting help to locate Willis. Law enforcement and Search and Rescue members began searching the area and went to the cabin.

SAR teams, along with Forest Service personnel and family members continued the search Tuesday. Willis was found safe early Tuesday afternoon; no other details were immediately made available.
