SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah, March 9, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — The Saratoga Springs Police Department has announced that a formal charge of first-degree murder has been filed for Alvaro Jose Urbina Rojas, 57, after his wife was found deceased in their stored camper trailer.
The dead woman was Jeusselem Elieth Genes Vitola, 43.
“The warrant has been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database, making it accessible to law enforcement agencies nationwide,” a SSPD statement says.
“The Saratoga Springs Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Alvaro Rojas. Investigators currently believe he may be in California.”
The SSPD was first contacted on Feb. 26 by concerned family members regarding the disappearance of the couple.
A missing persons’ alert was issued for Rojas and Vitola on March 2. Less than 24 hours later, Saratoga Springs police announced that the body of Vitola had been found in a camper trailer owned by the couple, and parked in an RV storage lot in Draper.

“We would like to thank the Draper City Police Department for their assistance in investigating this case and the Utah County Attorney’s Office for their guidance and consultation,” says the latest SSPD statement, issued Monday.
“The investigation remains ongoing. The Saratoga Springs Police Department continues to work closely with the FBI, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the U.S. Border Patrol as investigators work to locate Rojas and further develop the case.
Rojas also goes by the name Jose Alvaro. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 193 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
The vehicle he may be driving is a 2005 gray Toyota Sequoia, Utah (Arches design) plate number T409YB.
