SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 8, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City Fire Department officials responded to the scene of a small apartment fire on midday Thursday, and found evidence the fire was set on purpose.

Crews were called to the Moda Bonneville Building, at 235 S. 500 East, and donned breathing equipment to extinguish the fire. No one was injured.

Division Chief Ryan Mellor told Gephardt Daily that investigators found reason to believe it was an arson fire. On Thursday afternoon, officials were preparing to interview a person of interest in the case, Mellor said.

Gephardt Daily will have more information on the case as it becomes available.
