Officials searching for man, possibly pregnant woman suspected of jewelry theft at Layton Walmart

LAYTON, Utah, March 21, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Layton police are searching for a man and for a woman who may be pregnant who allegedly stole jewelry from Walmart in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Layton City Police Department said in a Facebook post that the man and woman are suspected of breaking into the jewelry case at the Walmart Supercenter at 745 Hill Field Road at approximately 3 a.m., and stealing chains, rings, and other items.

“The woman was described as possibly being pregnant,” the post said.

In surveillance photos, the woman is wearing a plaid hoodie, black T-shirt with a pattern, and jeans. The man is wearing a black and white baseball hat, black, yellow and gray coat, jeans and black sneakers.

The car they got into is white and has a black roof, black wheels, and no front plate, Layton police said.
