OGDEN, Utah, March 7, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A 35-year-old man has been booked into the Weber County jail after a male victim was stabbed on Friday.

A court document for Darnell Jackson says his arrest came after a victim came out of surgery for a stabbing wound to his throat.

The victim told police he came home to find a man he knew as “Slim” Jackson in his room with a female roommate. The man said he confronted Jackson, “who stabbed him.”

“Darnell was interviewed and, post Miranda, stated that another unknown individual was the person who stabbed the victim,” says Jackson’s arrest document, filed by an officer of the Ogden City Police Department.

“The female who was at the residence stated to officers that only she, the victim and Darnell were present at the house when the victim was stabbed.

“Darnell claimed to officers that he never carries a knife other than a small keychain pocket knife, however he was stopped by officers approximately three weeks ago and had a knife on his person.”

Officers arrived on scene minutes after the stabbing, the arrest document says, and “Darnell was found in the house attempting to clean up the blood of the crime scene.”

Jackson was jailed for investigation of alleged:

  • Aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury, a second-degree felony
  • Obstruction of justice, a third-degree felony

The document says Jackson was on probation or parole, or fee on bail awaiting trial for a previous felony offense at the time of the stabbing.

Jackson wa arrested at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, and is being held without bail, court documents say.
