ST. GEORGE, UTAH – October 1, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A St. George resident came outside Friday morning to find his truck had been destroyed in a hit and run leaving police in search of a suspect.

According to St. George police the incident happened in the neighborhood around Daybreak Drive and caused the area to be without power for nearly four hours as crews worked to clear the debris and gather evidence to find who might be responsible.

According to police, officers arrived within four minutes of the dispatch call and found massive damage to the victim’s truck and trailer and the person who was responsible no where in sight.

Debris left at the scene led officers to believe that the vehicle responsible is a white 1997-2003 Ford F-150 or Expedition. The truck would have heavy front end damage to both the front and front right side, including a missing upper bumper cover and passenger headlight and headlight assembly areas. Police said the suspect vehicle may have a lift kit.

Police are asking that others who suspect someone maybe involved by way of filing insurance claims, body shops, parts stores, or observant citizens who recognized a damaged ford truck, call dispatch at 435.627.4300.
