Police searching for suspects after beer robbery at Salt Lake City Maverik

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 17, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for two suspects who allegedly stole three cases of beer from a Salt Lake City Maverik in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The incident occurred at the Maverik at 676 N. Redwood Road at approximately 3:30 a.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

“Two males entered the store and selected one case of Budweiser and two cases of Bud Light,” the news release said. “The first suspect intimated that he had a weapon up his sleeve, but no weapon was actually seen.”

Both fled out the front door to an awaiting silver four-door car. The vehicle was last seen driving eastbound.

The first suspect is described as Polynesian, 6 feet tall, with a stocky build, long hair and a purple bandana covering his face. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a gray shirt underneath. The second suspect was described as Polynesian, shorter, with a muscular build, short hair, wearing a white hoodie with “CAL” written on the front.
