SOUTH JORDAN, UTAH – June 3, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – The South Jordan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who was caught on surveillance camera stealing packages from a residence at the 500 West block of Aspen Gate Lane (11145 South).

Police say a residential surveillance system shows a female running up to the porch around 6:40 p.m. then running back towards the street with four packages that had recently been delivered by a package delivery company.

The victim in this case, a licensed clinical psychologist, said the items stolen are needed for the treatment and evaluation of children with autism and have an estimated value of $2,000.

“Package theft is a crime that has been increasing over the past several years. We encourage residents to consider alternate shipping locations if you may not be home when packages are scheduled to be delivered,” said Samuel Winkler, master officer with the South Jordan Police Department.

Based upon the video surveillance, the suspect is a white female possibly in her 30’s with dark hair, wearing a black and white stripped tank top sun dress, sandals and sunglasses.

Anyone with information on this case is encouraged to call the South Jordan Police Department at 801-840-4000 – you can remain anonymous.
