SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – July 20, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Salt Lake City Police said the missing 13-year-old girl who did not arrive at school Monday morning has been found in the downtown area.

According to Sgt. Robin Heidon, SLCPD, Diana Milla left for school at 7:30 a.m. Monday from her home at 1665 S. Riverside (1100 West) in Salt Lake City but did not arrive at school. “She attends a school for children with mental health issues in Midvale, so she rides the bus,” said Heidon. “It appears she did not even get on the bus.”

Heidon said that she sent a text message to her mom Monday morning indicating she has suicidal thoughts. “We are pretty concerned about her well-being and we have several patrols out looking for her, including bike patrols by the Jordan River,” said Heidon. “She has the mental maturity of an eight-year-old, and we are unsure where she would have gone.”
