Salt Lake police seek 2 suspects after 7-Eleven robbery

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Dec. 6, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake police are searching for two suspects after a 7-Eleven on Redwood Road was robbed in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The incident occurred at the convenience store at 490 N. Redwood Road just before 3:30 a.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

“Two males entered the store at this address,” the news release said. “The first male placed an item on the counter as if to purchase it, then walked away from the register. The second male approached as if to pay for the item, but instead grabbed the clerk by the arm and told him to open the register.”

The clerk complied, and the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The first suspect is described as Polynesian, approximately 6 feet tall with a heavy build wearing a yellow reflective coat, blue jeans and white shoes. The second suspect is described as Polynesian, also approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build, wearing a gray sweatshirt and sweatpants and a dark gray knit cap.
